Dan Gedman

Partner, CEO

One of my favorite things about FACTION is how our team’s combined backgrounds shape the day-to-day ethos of the company. We started with the foundation of big agency thinking and high-end production, but it’s really our acuity in design and post that make us unique. 

Combine these pillars with a passionate belief that there is almost always a better, more efficient way of doing things—specifically when it comes to the volume of content generally needed by our clients—and we’ve built the exact company I’ve spent my entire career conceptualizing.

I have an intense passion for design. And while you’ll see some of my aesthetic in everything we do, I believe my greatest legacy at FACTION will be the teams I’ve built. Our company is extremely collaborative. For someone to succeed here, they not only need to possess elite talent but an intense enthusiasm for craft. 

So whether it’s an editor, animator, designer or producer, everyone who touches a project needs to make it better. All of our creative practices revolve around the idea that our output as a group is far superior to anything we could create as individual artists.

Chris Weaver

Executive Producer

Working jointly with film crews to solve production puzzles is addictive. If you count it all up, I’ve spent more than 3,000 days over the past 20 years on set and no two days have been the same. Whether we’re shooting a cast of hundreds on a battlefield,  trained animals on location or tabletop product in studio, every shoot has unique challenges and perplexities. 

There is nothing more satisfying to me than bringing together different skill sets from creatives, cast and crew to create something singular in vision. I’m proud of the portfolio of work we’ve created for our clients at FACTION, but I’m just as proud of the creative, collaborative and client-centered approach we took to get there.

Theresa Thornhill

Vice President, Client Services

At its heart, my role is about guiding our clients on a creative journey. From initial contact to brainstorming ideas to optimizing budgets and timing, it all leads to that magical moment when shared vision becomes reality. What we do is more of a lifestyle than a job, so I pride myself on my flexibility and availability to clients—regardless of whether it’s an early morning, late night or over the weekend. 

I love problem-solving and tackling the challenges positively often leads to more creativity and unexpected solutions. It is a privilege to build relationships and trust with our clients. Our entire team truly enjoys what we do and it shows in our work.
